Why is the drug here:
Ear drops with a unique combination that includes an anti-fungal ingredient.

Purpose of treatment:
For the treatment of external ear infection (which involves the auditory canal) and which also includes a fungal contaminant.
- Ingredients: Four components - antibiotics (Neomycin), anti-fungal (Sodium Propionate), vasoconstrictors and inflammation reducer (Phenylephrine) and anesthetic (benzocaine).

How to use:
The dose will be determined according to the recommendation of the attending physician. It is usually 2 drops in the infected ear, three times a day.

Benefits:
A unique combination that also includes an anti-fungal ingredient. For me, a second line solution in unique cases where fungus is involved in an infection in the ear canal.

Side Effects:
Do not treat over the limited number of days as recommended by your doctor. Do not treat in case of ruptured eardrum or in the presence of ventilation tube. Cases of known hearing problems (especially hearing disorders of neurological origin) should not be treated.

These ear drops are not usually part of the treatment for acute otitis media. Even in acute otitis externa, this combination is not usually part of the first line of treatment.
